Coastal Trails: From Essaouira to Agadir.
A very scenic route on the most western flanks of the Atlas mountains towards the south, always within sight of the Atlantic Ocean.
The tour has a very special character due to the proximity to the Atlantic ocean leading through touristically well developed regions with plenty of options to sleep in rather luxurious accommodations. Certainly less of an adventure trip then the other AMT trail sections but full of touristic highlights and good biking.
The tour leads along some of the most beautiful beaches and through the home of the Argan forests, Morocco's endemic trees that produce one of the world's most precious oils. The second part of the tour crosses the high plateau of Immouzer and the paradise valley, inviting you with plenty of springs for much needed refreshments in the arid climate.
Arrival in Agadir, another touristic hub with an international airport makes this tour very easy to organise, also if you are still a novice to organising a self supported MTB adventure.
Fitness and Technicality: Easiest tour of the AMT trail sections, with no major technical difficulties and rather short legs, giving you plenty of time to enjoy the scenery, take dips in the ocean or the springs. With one exception on day one, the tour has no technical difficulties and is mainly gravel and paved sections.
